The baby registry was the worst. No one seemed to get that adoption is a viable way to get a baby. Also, no one seemed to realize I would have a registry, so no one asked, or bought anything off of it.

I'll tag on. I HATED having to include a due date on our registry and in fact, we DID have to change ours, which pretty much sent me into a tailspin there toward the end of our wait. Now I don't care as much (for obvious reasons) but at the time, that HURT.

I've noticed that too! I just toss in a much later date as I start to gather lists of things I want. Mostly just sticking to Amazon's wishlist, then I don't have to deal with any date ;)
